Hi, I’m Lucila Bravo, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California with 14 years of experience. I take a humanistic, culturally responsive approach and work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. My background includes working with youth, foster care systems, and correctional mental health, which has shaped me into a grounded, solution-focused therapist. I offer a balance of compassion and honest feedback, supporting you while also helping you identify patterns that may be holding you back so you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Clients often experience me as warm, dependable, and adaptable. I’m here to support you while helping you set meaningful goals, find your voice, and build the confidence to advocate for yourself. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your full, authentic self. Taking the first step toward therapy takes courage, and you don’t have to do it alone.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, trusting connection. We’ll talk about the challenges you’re facing and the goals you’d like to work toward in therapy. It’s a relaxed, supportive space where you can share at your own pace; there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll begin creating a path forward that feels meaningful and manageable for you.
My work is guided by a deep commitment to my clients’ well-being, integrity, and genuine care. I create a space that is flexible, supportive, and free of judgment, where you can show up as you are. I use a strengths-based, solution-focused approach while also offering honest, thoughtful feedback. I’ll support you while gently challenging you to explore different perspectives, helping you make choices that feel aligned with who you are and where you want to go. Clients often appreciate my authenticity, sense of humor, and ability to keep things real. I believe growth comes from both insight and action, and I’m here to help you find balance, build confidence, and recognize your progress along the way.
I work best with individuals who are ready for change, even if they’re not sure where to start. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or repeating patterns that no longer serve you—and you’re looking for clarity, direction, and real tools to move forward. I support children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. Many of my clients are open to self-reflection and willing to be gently challenged so they can grow. If you’re looking for a therapist who is supportive, honest, and focused on helping you set goals, build confidence, and advocate for yourself, we’ll likely be a good fit.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
My experience in crisis intervention has strengthened my ability to effectively use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I focus on helping clients identify and build on their existing strengths and resources to navigate challenges. Rather than staying stuck in the problem, we work together to create clear, realistic goals and identify practical steps toward change. I guide clients in recognizing what’s already working, building momentum from their progress, and applying strategies that support lasting growth and well-being.

Lucila has helped me and my wife communicate so much more effectively since starting therapy. She has helped us reframe our disagreements so that we approach it from a viewpoint of teamwork. Very grateful for her work.
