New to Grow
Hello! I am a clinician who has worked in many work environments from wilderness programs to therapeutic boarding as as well as public school. I have 38 years of experience working with adolescence and young adults, as well as families and couples counseling. I believe that everyone has a story and within that story there are many situations that occur that can be contributing to the issues. A person is having currently in their life space. If you were looking for Clinician, who’s willing to listen, but also willing to push you gently through some of those issues that continue to create road blocks. I believe I am the clinician for you! I also like to use humor as a way to make my clients more comfortable and more open to discussing many of those difficult subjects and I have the uncanny ability to establish good working relationship relationships, especially with adolescence and young adults.
Your first session with me, it’ll be all about getting to know you as a person and what are the things that you are struggling with, what you have tried in the past and determine how motivated you are to do the work in order to improve your personal functioning.
As I’ve stated before, I have the uncanny ability to create strong relational bonds with my clients. They like to show up every week. They also know that I am extremely motivated to assisting my clients in feeling stronger and more knowledgeable about what is going on for them and learning strategies to assist in creating better functioning.
I’ve seen so many different clients with different issues and I am always mindful to find out what they’re looking for and making sure that I begin where the client is. I like the type of client who is interested and motivated to do the work necessary to assist them with their issues and are willing to partner with the Clinician instead of having the Clinician do all the work through questioning homework, etc..
