My name is Nzinga Lawrence. I am a licensed professional counselor who has worked with individuals who are struggling to manage intense emotions and impulsive behaviors. These can look different in each person. Some individuals struggle with their self esteem and other may be addicted to something. I create a safe and supportive space where we can explore the underlying causes of these feelings and work together to build healthier patterns. My goal is to empower you to navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and clarity.
In our first session we will get to know one another. You can expect a warm and welcoming environment where you can feel safe to share your thoughts and feelings. I will explain what therapy is and the risks and benefits of online therapy. We will then explore the areas that you would like to work on. We will then create a treatment plan collaboratively that reflects you as a person.

I believe you are the expert in your life and I am here to support you in uncovering your strengths and navigating the challenges you face. Together, we can explore your thoughts and feelings, helping you find clarity and achieve your goals.
I have worked in this field for over 10 years and am dedicated to helping others improve their lives for the better. I’m particularly well-equipped to support college students navigating the challenges of academic life, social pressures, and transitions into adulthood. I love working with college aged young adults in figuring out their next steps and with the adult who needs to learn new coping strategies to manage life stressors.
I believe the client is the expert of their lives. I am here as a support and at times a guide. I am here with you on a journey.
Our brains are powerful and at times can be harmful due to the past experiences. With CBT we can re train our brains.
