I received my Masters in Social Work in 2018 and have been working in the field of mental health for more than 8 years. My goal in therapy is make you feel comfortable and open to being your most authentic self. I also want to partner with you in reaching whatever your goal is but also pushing you to explore who you are and learn new facets of yourself. I use a warm and conversational nature to make you feel comfortable whether this is your first time in therapy or you have been to therapy in the past I want to create a uniquiely crafted experince that fits your needs.
At your first session I will ask you what your goals are, the reason you are seeking therapy and how you see me being a resource guiding you to reach that goal. I also will have you tell me about yourself, what do you feel is your best quaility and what ares(s) do you want to improve.
I have utilized evidence based treatment planning by working with you to come up with goals of treatment and then creating a realistic plan to reach that goal. This allows for treatment to be tailored to you and follow your pace of progression.
I love working with clients that are determined and ready to do the work. Therapy is a helpful tool that is only as effective as the person utilizing the tool. I want my clients to be willing to live in uncomfortable spaces and be open learning new skills and coping techniques.
I have worked in the mental health field for the past 8 years. In that time I have honed my areas of expertise in CBT. Using a question-and-answer format, I help you gain a different perspective on situations, events and relationships with others.
Through providing you with open-ended questions I will leave room for you to choose how to tell your story. Only you know what your perspective is. I want to better understand how key problems are viewed by you through your life story to give you the knowledge of your ability to live these values so you can effectively confront current and future problems.
Through couples counseling I will help you as a couple focus on improving relationship satisfaction and conflict resolution. My goal is to help you build a healthier relationship and solve any possible issues. I will assist in help both parties figure out what your indivdual goals are and figure out how to merge them to create a improved outcome.
I use mindfulness-based therapy to teach you to consciously pay attention to your thoughts and feelings without placing any judgments upon them.
