(she/her)
I am a licensed therapist with a passion for supporting individuals on their journey toward emotional well-being and personal growth. With a strong background in mindfulness and yoga, I believe in the transformative power of integrating mind-body practices to promote healing and resilience. My therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and crisis de-escalation strategies, to help clients manage anxiety, depression, and life's challenges with greater ease and clarity. I work collaboratively with my clients to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where they can explore their emotions, build coping skills, and develop greater self-awareness. Whether you are facing overwhelming stress, struggling with mental health concerns, or navigating a crisis, I am here to support you in cultivating balance, emotional well-being, and inner peace.
During our first session, I want to ensure we have a good working relationship and are a good fit to work together. I encourage and normalize in our first meeting that part of therapy is finding a therapist you feel comfortable with and enjoy talking with. This may not be me (which is totally ok!) and I want to encourage the search for the right therapist. I will end our session with a few target areas you hope to focus on in therapy and assign homework when there is interest.
I believe I am able to navigate heaviness with compassion and nonjudgment. I will challenge negative thinking from an outsider perspective that is therapeutic and provide gentle reminders that our inner voice is not looking out for us. I will meet you where you are and provide guidance as needed and encouragement throughout our work together.
I enjoy working with those who have high performing expectations, over-productivity emphasis, societal and/or familial pressures. I have many years of experience supporting those with mild to severe anxiety, mild to severe depression and/or acute trauma symptoms. As someone who identifies with and supports the LGBTQIA population, I enjoy working with those who are finding their path in this community whether they are struggling with identity, communication around this and/or sharing with loved ones. I welcome those participating in non-traditional relationship structures and/or interested in exploring this type of identity as well.

I love the concept of value based work within self to understand what is important to find meaning and purpose in life. By understanding your personal values, you are able to shape awareness of behavior and have a driving force as you navigate relationships and improved communication.
Somatic

i found amanda through a recommendation from my local SART/SANE Center: the silver lining after a traumatizing assault. the bad news: re: amanda's therapy style. two cannot accurately & fully capture her style. the good: very difficult topics with aplomb then pivot to where we can laugh. while i don't want to recommend her too much, making scheduling sessions difficult, but i'm not a monster stopping others from benefitting like i am. ur welcome 😉

I had a really postiive experience with Amanda. They did a great job staying focused on the main issues I wated to work on while also allowing me to open up on topics I normally don't like to bring up. I never felt rushed or judged making it easy to be honest.
