I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 14 years of experience. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I take pride in my ability to quickly build rapport with my clients. I work to guide my clients to get to the core of what is causing their distress. I will provide a "safe space" where my clients feel free to be themselves free of judgment. I will be my client's biggest advocate and will guide them to the answers within.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I offer a "safe space" where my client feels comfortable to share openly with me while feeling free of judgment. I work to help my client feel they have someone who will help guide them to the answers they have within them. We will work together to identify what they would like to work on.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked with clients from all walks of life and have the ability to connect with them on their level. I have been described by my clients as "genuine and trustworthy." I help my clients identify their strengths and motivators for therapy to help them gain the essential tools for life's obstacles.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I started my career using this evidence based practice. I work together with my clients to identify the behaviors that they can practice which leads to a healthier thought process.

Couples Counseling

I have worked with couples for many years and believe that by working together couples can get a healthy place where you can hear and understand each other. I approach couples therapy by identifying the goals for each individual as well as your goals as a couple.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have employed this therapy approach for years by helping individuals learn to regulate their emotions to lead to a better quality of life. I believe by using this evidence based practice my clients also learn interpersonal skills to communicate in a healthy way.

Motivational Interviewing

I believe that any motivation is good motivation. I use this evidence based therapy to identify what motivates clients to seek therapy, we then work together to make the changes to help improve clients quality of life.

EMDR

This treatment method helps my clients to reprocess traumatic events through bilateral stimulation modalities which can include eye movements, auditory, or tapping.
