Hello. My name is Nicole and I received my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central CT State University. I have worked with a variety of individuals in many roles; providing outpatient therapy in private practice as well as state agencies for adults ages 20-65, mobile crisis services for youth ages 3-19, and intensive in-home therapy for high risk and at risk youth. My passion for many years has been sexuality, sex education, and ensuring a safe and judgement-free therapeutic space for anyone seeking support in such matters.
Our first session will begin with building a connection, beginning to create the safe space, and then we will dive into what brought you into therapy and what goals you have for creating change.
My greatest strengths as a provider are empathy, compassion, providing a comfortable space for people to talk about very uncomfortable things.
I love working with young adults to middle age. These stages of life transition can create so many questions and concerns for where one is traveling on their path. I feel it is so important to have the right person there guiding you on your journey when you feel stuck, overwhelmed with self-doubt, or at a crossroads.
I use a variety of models since no two people are alike. I will bring in internal family systems, dialectical behavioral therapy, positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and person-centered interventions just to name a few. Family therapy components from structural, strategic, to Milan systemic are also utilized.
