I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive experience treating a wide variety of mental health issues including, but not limited to, addiction, mood disorders (depression, anxiety), psychosis, adjustment disorder, and PTSD. In addition to individual counseling, I am also proficient in family and couples therapy. In both individual and couples/family counseling, I work with clients to build insight and to develop a greater understanding of self in order to improve current circumstances and/or work towards identified treatment goals.
My intent is for clients to feel supported, listened to, and understood during sessions. As we are able to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship, clients can expect sessions to be a safe and non-judgmental space.
As every client is unique, the approach to treatment will differ from person to person. I utilize evidence-based treatment methods including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered therapy; I also believe a trusting therapeutic relationship is the foundation of mental health treatment.
Though as expressed above I have experience with a wide variety of mental health diagnoses, I specialize in addiction treatment (i.e. SOAP) as well as couples and family therapy.
