Felechia Oppenheimer
Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with children, adolescents, and young adults, meeting each person where they are without judgment or pressure. I help clients navigate challenges like anxiety, school or social stress, family struggles, identity exploration, and the ups and downs of growing up. My approach is warm, real, and collaborative — I focus on understanding each person’s unique experiences and helping them build tools that actually fit their life. Together, we work toward more confidence, healthier relationships, and the ability to handle life’s challenges in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
First session
In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and talking about what’s bringing you in. I’ll ask some questions about what’s been going on, your background, and what you’re hoping might feel different, but there’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for. We’ll also go over how therapy works and what you can expect from me. Mostly, it’s a chance for you to see how it feels to talk with me and start building a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and understood.
Strengths
What stands out about my approach is that it’s warm, real, and highly collaborative — I meet clients where they are, rather than expecting them to fit a mold. I combine empathy with practical strategies, helping young people not just talk about their challenges, but actually develop tools to manage emotions, navigate relationships, and handle stress more effectively. My biggest strengths are creating a safe, nonjudgmental space, tuning into each client’s unique needs, and guiding them toward insight and growth that feels authentic and sustainable.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve children, teens, and young adults who are ready to better understand themselves and are open to growth, even when it feels uncomfortable. They may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or frustrated with repeating patterns, and are looking for both insight and practical tools to create meaningful, lasting change. My approach supports clients in building self-awareness, strengthening coping skills, and navigating challenges in a way that feels authentic and manageable for their stage of development.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Together we would use CBT to help us understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors all interact with each other.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Together we practice paying attention to the current moment with openness and without judgement. Instead of trying to immediately change or get rid of difficult thoughts or emotions, we practice noticing them differently.
Strength-Based
We make space for your pain and challenges, while also intentionally looking at your abilities, resilience, values, and past successes.
