Seeking support is an act of strength and courage, and it’s my privilege to be a resource to you on your journey! I am Dr. Emma Markey, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of Blessed Behavioral & Health Services LLC. With over 16 years of healthcare experience, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and evidence-based mental health care tailored to each individual’s unique needs. My approach integrates thoughtful medication management, supportive therapeutic interventions, and holistic wellness strategies to help clients heal, build resilience, and thrive. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel heard, empowered, and supported throughout their journey toward emotional wellness.
During our first appointment, we will discuss your background and set some goals based on your presenting issue. However, it’s important for me to know that you feel safe and hold trust in our provider-patient relationship. During our first session, you can expect a welcoming, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where we take time to understand your story, concerns, and goals for treatment. We will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that may include discussing your current symptoms, emotional concerns, medical and mental health history, life stressors, past treatment experiences, and overall well-being. My goal is to gain a clear understanding of your needs so we can work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapeutic strategies, and practical tools to help you move toward healing, balance, and lasting emotional wellness.
Working with patients is truly my ministry. I am a true cheerleader for every one of my patients. I love taking care of people, listening, and being able to hold the space for the people I interact with every day. I want to understand your story and collaborate in helping you set your mind to success. My greatest strengths are creating a compassionate, safe, and nonjudgmental space where individuals feel truly heard, valued, and supported. I take a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and whole-person approach that goes beyond symptom management to understand the deeper factors affecting emotional well-being. I combine thoughtful medication management with supportive therapeutic interventions and individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. Clients often appreciate my ability to listen with empathy, provide practical tools for healing, and integrate holistic and faith-based principles—when desired—to support lasting growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
I enjoy working with patients who are ready to make a change and engage in a meaningful partnership. I am happy to be your coach on this journey, but the final result will be a product of our work together. I am best positioned to support adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or difficulty navigating life transitions. Many of my clients are seeking clarity, emotional balance, healthier coping strategies, and a safe space where they feel heard without judgment. I work especially well with individuals who are motivated to improve their mental wellness, build resilience, and actively participate in their healing journey through a collaborative, compassionate, and personalized treatment approach.

Very kind and understanding despite me showing up a little late to the appointment and being disorganized. I felt like I was being heard and supported without it feeling like she was carrying / leading the conversation.
