Hi there, I'm Valeriya! I’m a trauma-focused psychotherapist who helps individuals move beyond survival mode and truly transform from within. Using holistic, integrative, and evidence-based approaches (such as EMDR, somatic therapy, DBT, or mindfulness), I guide clients to uncover root patterns, rewire the mind-body connection, and step into lives that genuinely fit who they are. My style is often described as “empathy with a backbone”—supportive yet empowering, so you leave each session with clarity, tools, and real momentum.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I’ll create a space where you feel safe, seen, and heard. We’ll explore what brought you to therapy, your hopes, and current challenges. I’ll share my approach so you know what to expect, and together we’ll shape a realistic, meaningful plan—with practical tools you can use right away.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are in blending deep, trauma-focused work with practical, real-life tools for change. My approach is both compassionate and direct, where clients feel deeply supported while also challenged to grow. I focus on creating meaningful, lasting transformation by helping clients build insight, emotional regulation, and a stronger connection to themselves and the environment around them.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with driven individuals who are ready for deeper healing, emotional clarity, and meaningful change. My ideal clients are motivated to do the work, heal from past trauma and relational patterns, and navigate life transitions with guided support. They seek tangible tools, clear insight, and a path forward that helps them feel more grounded, empowered, and aligned in their lives.

My treatment methods

Trauma Informed Care

I approach all of my work through a trauma-informed lens, prioritizing safety, collaboration, and empowerment in the therapeutic relationship. I am mindful of how past experiences shape present patterns and strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported as they move toward healing and meaningful change.

Mind-body approach

My practice is rooted in a holistic, mind-body approach that recognizes the interconnectedness of thoughts, emotions, and physiological responses. I guide clients in developing awareness of how their internal experiences manifest in the body, using mindfulness and integrative techniques to support regulation, resilience, and healing.

Somatic

Somatic therapy is central to my work, as I believe healing must include the body—not just the mind. I help clients tune into their nervous system, build regulation skills, and process trauma through body-based awareness, allowing for deeper, more lasting change beyond insight alone.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use DBT-informed interventions to support clients in building practical, day-to-day coping skills, particularly around emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I integrate these tools within a deeper trauma-informed framework to ensure clients feel both supported and empowered as they navigate intense emotions and relational challenges.

EMDR

I incorporate EMDR as a core component of my trauma work to help clients process and reprocess distressing experiences at their root. My approach integrates EMDR with somatic awareness and mindfulness, allowing clients to not only cognitively understand their experiences but also release stored emotional and physiological distress.
