LMFT, 4 years of experience
I am a Marriage & Family Therapist based in Northern California. I earned my Masters degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and have been licensed for 4 years. I have over 8 years of experience supporting families of patients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental delays. I work with adults to help them uncover what keeps them stuck in unhealthy patterns and provide tools so they can achieve their personal goals. I am here to help you establish better relationships with your loved ones, learn to set boundaries, and meet your full potential.
In our first session we will get to know one another and see if we are the right fit to work together. Then we will dive into what brings you to therapy so that I can create a tailored treatment plan.
I approach client issues from a strengths-based approach. Let's discover together what you are good at and how you can expand upon those skills to accomplish your goals.
I enjoy working with individuals who struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and or relationship issues.

I’m new to therapy and was super nervous. She validated my feelings and asked me insightful questions. I’m so glad to have her as a therapist.

I feel very fortunate to have been connected with Catherine Ramsay. This was our first session, and it was a great relief to find someone who could help me and understand me, and provide not just support but knowledge of other supports as well. She clearly knows the territory I am needing to explore, and I feel much gratitude to have this kind of professional guidance and companionship.
I use a blend of psycho-dynamic, narrative and strengths-based interventions when working with clients.
