Welcome! I'm Liz, a dedicated psychotherapist who works in both New York and New Jersey. With a warm and empathetic approach, I am here to provide you with a safe and affirming space where we can navigate life's challenges together. I specialize in supporting individuals who are coping with various life stressors or undergoing major life changes. Whether you're navigating a difficult transition or seeking guidance for managing anxiety, I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey. My experience in helping people with anxiety has allowed me to develop effective strategies that empower you to regain control and find a sense of peace. I believe in the power of genuine connection and understanding, and I'm committed to helping you uncover your strengths and resilience. Together, we can work towards fostering positive change and growth in your life.
In a first session together, I'll want to hear more about you and how I can help support through whatever is bringing you to seek out therapy.
I approach therapy in an informal, conversational way. With this, I incorporate different tools from the following approaches: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), as well as mindfulness. Sessions are not structured around these models, but the approaches are woven in; as situations are discussed in sessions, prompts and strategies are shared. Resources to explore between sessions can also be provided if this were something a client wanted to read and reflect on between appointments.
With years of experience, I've developed a deep understanding of the complexities of anxiety. I'm here to provide practical tools and coping strategies to help you manage anxious thoughts and regain a sense of control. I pride myself on being an attentive and empathic sounding board, ready to help you process difficult feelings and explore the roots of your emotions. I provide a non-judgmental, safe space, where we can delve into stressful or worrisome feelings together and work towards finding clarity and resolution.
