Hi! I help clients reconnect with their inner voice and rebuild confidence in living an authentic, meaningful life. Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the joy in their everyday moments. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping you understand yourself more deeply so you can move toward the life you want. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating social anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, and those on the autism spectrum. I also enjoy working with clients who identify as highly sensitive, people-pleasers, or chronic “overthinkers.” I appreciate when clients are open to personal growth, even if they’re not sure where to start. Together, we’ll explore what’s getting in the way, build tools for emotional clarity, and create space for genuine fulfillment and well-being. I'm a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor based in North Carolina. I received my Masters from East Carolina University. I am a first time mom to a little boy that just turned one. Navigating motherhood has been my newest hobby but I also love walking outside, listening to audiobooks & music, surf fishing, trying new food, cooking, and spending time with my family/friends.
In our first session, we’ll ease into getting to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll guide the conversation so I can gather the information I need to support you, and you’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. There is never pressure to dive into anything before you’re ready. My goal is for you to feel safe, understood, and supported from the very beginning — and to leave each session feeling heard.
I bring a compassionate, laid-back presence to every session, creating a space where clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood. My kindness and patience help build genuine trust, making it easier for people to open up at their own pace. I’m deeply committed to understanding each client’s unique story and tailoring my approach to fit their needs. This personalized, non-judgmental care supports clients in discovering their strengths, building confidence, and moving toward meaningful change.
I connect deeply with clients who value authenticity and are seeking a stronger sense of self-awareness, confidence, and emotional clarity. My ideal clients are open to personal growth and interested in understanding themselves on a deeper level — even if they’re not quite sure where to begin. Many of the people I support are navigating social anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, or the emotional impact of past experiences. They may struggle with guilt, shame, self-doubt, overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from their own needs. They’re looking for practical, grounding tools to manage these emotions and to feel more present and centered in their daily lives. My dream clients want to live in alignment with their values, build healthier relationships with themselves and others, and create more balance, joy, and connection. They’re ready to take small, meaningful steps toward lasting change — and they’re looking for a therapist who offers warmth, understanding, and steady support along the way.
I help clients identify and see how their behaviors are either aligned or misaligned with their core values to live a meaningful life. I teach mindfulness strategies to increase flexible thinking patterns and adopt an acceptance mindset rather than avoiding or suppressing. I have seen this lead to more feelings of peace and empowerment. This approach can also be helpful for those clients managing grief. This is a compassionate approach to redefine purpose and/or take action steps toward healing.
I help clients connect emotions to thoughts and behaviors with the hopes of shifting unhelpful thoughts to more truthful, helpful, and empowering thoughts of self. I teach about cognitive distortions and how to reframe them through facts. This can lead to more purposeful interactions with others and increased confidence.
This approach can be helpful in therapy because often times clients may be "on the fence" about making a big life decision. This approach helps explore your own reasons for making certain decisions and increase problem-solving skills to feel more confident about your behaviors. There's no judgment, just understanding and support.
I utilize CPT for clients healing from traumatic experiences. This is a writing/journaling approach that we talk through together to identify negative thoughts, develop problem solving skills, and build confidence to get back to living your life in the present. I use this approach in combination with mindfulness techniques to help clients talk through difficult memories and symptoms.
This is the core of my therapeutic style. This simply means I believe in you and your unique journey. I hope to provide a safe, compassionate, accepting environment for you to reach your full potential.

There are a lot of things that stand out about Lindsay, but Growtherapy only allows 2 choices. I would say that no other therapist has helped me through anxiety and burnout while sharpening my focus toward purpose-driven activities as a key tool in the toolbox of solutions. I had tried a couple other therapists previously, but Lindsay was the one who found the right balance between understanding what is challenging enough to keep my interest and relevant enough to make a lasting difference.
