Vanessa Gonzales is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with adolescents and adults to navigate life's challenges and build healthy coping skills. She has experience treating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Vanessa integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, psychoeducation approaches to create a supportive, collaborative therapeutic environment and help clients strengthen resilience, improve emotional well-being and foster personal growth.
At the initial session, we will discuss reasons for starting therapy, goals, current symptoms and discuss goals client would like to work on while in treatment.

I work with adolescents going through life transitions or vocational stress. I work with adults with various stressors, anxiety, depression, life transitions, parenting and low self-esteem. Depending on client's goals and therapeutic goals we determine, I can give resources and exercises for them to use outside of session and for practical use in their daily life. I work collaboratively with clients in their needs.
Psychoeducation and learning and being able to identify own thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Learning of irrational thoughts can change and replaced with new and healthy alternatives.
