Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session together is mostly spent talking about your presenting problems. I would ask questions to better understand your struggles, strengths and needs. The first session is all about building rapport and for us to get to know each other better and formulate an action plan.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My communication skills are my greatest strengths as a therapist. My personality is calm, accommodating, and personable. I provide an empathic atmosphere and want you to feel comfortable talking to me about anything, especially sensitive matters. I pride myself on actively listening to you without judgment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is loyal, respectful, and motivated towards reaching their goals, and one who feels safe enough to let down their guard and talk about their struggles. I hope to find the perfect solution to your problems and needs through my services.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

My experience with ACT has been exceptional, and using this approach helps my clients attain willingness to deal with painful emotions and become more psychologically flexible. I focus on several core processes to help clients cope with challenging emotions without getting stuck in life-long suffering. My goal is to help individuals move past their pain to reach their full God-given potential.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I encourage clients to take the time to be mindful in their every day life and focus on self-care. It is critical to notice your thoughts, your feelings, and body sensations when it comes to taking care of yourself. Paying attention to how you experience each moment is the first step to making necessary changes in your life.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT is known to be effective in treating traumatic experiences and PTSD and related symptoms. This approach helps my clients to fully process their fears, associated cognition, beliefs and schemas in order to reduce avoidant behaviors and start living again.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a structured and interactive therapy approach I use with most clients. CBT is a collaborative approach that allows clients to set their own agenda and prioritize what's most important to discuss during therapy. We often summarize and agree on homework for accountability purposes.
