Hello! Thank you for taking the time to prioritize your mental health and well being. While the search for the right therapist can be challenging, take a deep breath because you have already taken the hardest step to start looking. Therapy is a collaboration for the purpose of growth. I provide a judgement free environment that fosters new insight to your mental health. Whether you are new to therapy or are returning I prioritize focusing on meeting you where you are at to work towards your goals. I use evidence based practice with a holistic approach to address mental health needs by looking at the client as a whole not just a diagnosis. My background is grounded in Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Master of Social Work degree in 2014. My background is primarily medical both inpatient at a Trauma 1 hospital and outpatient with geriatric PCP all inclusive clinic. I have worked with specialty populations to include patients diagnosed with Breast Cancer and patients diagnosed with End Stage Renal Disease. I have worked with age range populations from newborn to geriatric. I currently provide therapy with healthcare workers via EAP assistance. You are not alone in your mental health needs, let us work together to find the solutions for you.
I provide an environment that is safe, non judgemental, and compassionate. I provide structure to ensure measurable change however also have flexibility to allow clients to make their therapeutic experience individualized for them.
I use evidenced based practice in a client centered approach. This incorporates a Solution Focused perspective with emphasis on Empowerment and Strengths. I also employ interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Family Systems.
My strengths would be my warmth and approachability. It can be very challenging feeling comfortable with someone instantly to the point of telling them your deepest concerns and emotions. I help make the process smooth and comforting. My approach is very kind even when discussing challenging topics such as change.
