About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California with over 10 years of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, families, and older adults across community mental health, trauma-focused settings, and wellness programs. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate emotional challenges while creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where healing and growth can occur. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I utilize evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and client-centered approaches to help clients identify barriers, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful goals. I am passionate about supporting clients through difficult experiences with compassion, empathy, and understanding while empowering them to discover their inner strengths, build resilience, and create meaningful lasting change. I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, abuse, life transitions, family conflict, emotional distress, and behavioral concerns. My approach is collaborate and strength base, integrating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Therapy Solution Focused Therapy (TF-CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness techniques tailored to each client's unique needs. As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I value cultural sensitivity and strive to provide an environment where clients feel understood, respected, and supported throughout their healing journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, we will spend time getting to know one another creating a safe, comfortable space where you can share your concerns at your own pace. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals for treatment to gain a better understanding of your unique experiences and needs. We will also review important information related to the therapeutic process, including confidentiality, informed consent, crisis intervention, and any questions you might have about therapy. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share what you hope to gain from therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe one of my greatest strengths is my ability to create genuine and trusting relationships with clients. I understand that beginning therapy can feel vulnerable and sometimes overwhelming, which is why strive to create a warm, supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I believe each person's journey is unique, and I do not believe in a one-size -fits-all approach to therapy. I meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their individual needs. As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I value cultural sensitivity and strive to help clients gain insight, build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and create meaningful and lasting change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, caregiver stress, trauma, or major life transitions. They may feel overwhelmed, emotionally disconnected, or unsure how to move forward, but they are willing to explore their experiences and work toward positive change. Some may want to improve communication, strengthen relationships, establish healthy boundaries, or develop more effective coping skills. Others may be adjusting to loss, aging, health concerns, family conflict, or changes in their roles and independence. I meet clients with compassion and without judgment, helping them identify their strengths, better understand their emotions and behavioral patterns, and establish realistic goals. Together, we work toward greater self-awareness, emotional stability, healthier relationships, and meaningful, lasting change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have utilized Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions in clinical practice for over 10 years, supporting clients with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, adjustment disorders, relationship distress, low self-esteem and transition challenges. My experience includes helping clients identify maladaptive thought patterns, challenge their cognitive distortions, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilized Solution-Focused Therapy interventions to treat clients experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, grief, relationship distress, family conflict, low self esteem and life transition challenges. My experience using Solution-Focused Therapy approach includes helping clients identify their strengths, using existing coping skills, and personal resources to support their personal positive change.

Family Therapy

I use family therapy to help family members improve communication, understand one another’s perspectives, and address patterns that may be contributing to conflict or emotional distress. Together, we identify each family member’s strengths, practice healthier ways of expressing needs, establish appropriate boundaries, and develop practical solutions that support stronger and more respectful relationships.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients understand and make room for difficult thoughts and emotions without allowing them to control their choices. Together, we identify personal values, practice mindfulness and self-compassion, and develop realistic actions that support a more meaningful life. This approach can be especially helpful for anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and major life transitions.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore mixed feelings about change in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Through thoughtful questions and reflective listening, we identify personal strengths, values, and motivations. Together, we address barriers, build confidence, and develop realistic steps toward meaningful and lasting change.
