I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Pennsylvania, who attained my master's degree from Marywood University. I have over 12 years of experience as a clinician and believe in the value of developing the therapeutic relationship. My experience spans across various age groups from children to the geriatric populations. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. I believe in providing a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, our focus will be on getting to know you better and understanding your unique experiences, challenges, and goals. We'll explore what brings you to therapy and discuss your concerns. This initial session is an opportunity for us to build rapport and trust while gathering important information to tailor treatment to your specific needs. By the end of the session, we'll work together to outline a plan for future sessions to develop a treatment plan.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I believe my greatest strengths lie in my commitment to building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. I strive to be both supportive and gently challenging, guiding clients towards their goals with empathy and understanding. I provide a safe space for clients to explore and process their thoughts and feelings, whether they bring tears or laughter. I approach therapy with humility, recognizing that I am not the expert; rather I am here to walk alongside my clients on their journey to healing and self-discovery.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The therapeutic relationship forms the foundation of effective psychotherapy, fostering trust, and connection. I believe that using the treatment method CBT is effective in aiding clients in problem solving while making connections regarding their beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Client's being able to develop the therapeutic relationship provides comfort in clients being able to connect and problem solve in a short period of time.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I am a firm believer in the benefits of CBT and working with individuals who have experienced traumatic events CPT is effective in reducing PTSD symptoms.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Being a Black therapist I believe that it's important to have cultural awareness. Providing a safe space for clients to address stigma and discrimination they may have experienced. Collaborating and empowering clients to realize their full potential.

Strength-Based

I believe the strength-based therapy is extremely important to help clients realize their full potential. I believe it's important to help client's focus on their strengths to aid in reaching goals.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Allowing clients the space to share their experiences and take the lead in sessions allows clients to take ownership of the session. Clients know their story and being allowed the space to find their own solutions.
