I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling and I am a Maryland Board Approved Supervisor. I I have over 10 years of experience helping clients move forward from their stuck points to feel empowered to re-engage in life. Many clients I helped struggled with anxiety, depression and some form of addiction. I was able to help many people by showing them how to make choices that put them back in the driver's seat in their lives. I use strength-based techniques and evidence-based treatment strategies. My therapeutic style is warm, empathic, & collaborative. I make sure that clients feel comfortable, respected, empowered and supported.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Clients can expect the first session to be information gathering, with the goal of gaining an understanding of their life in general and the specific concerns that brought them to therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a provider is empathetic listening. Hearing the client's struggle and also hearing what is not being said.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Do you struggle with anxious thoughts? Does everyday life have you feeling trapped in a cycle of depression? Does a past trauma have you stuck in your life? You do not have to bear it alone or continue struggling. As an experienced therapist, I provide a safe, supportive space for you to share your concerns. I help you strategize ways that will empower you on your journey towards healing and self-discovery.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with individuals who are experiencing discomfort due to anxiety and depression. I work with the client to identify dysfunctional patterns of thinking and behavior that lead to problems in relationships, ability to work and life satisfaction.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use Cognitive Processing Therapy to help address the mental health challenges that result from traumatic experiences. This helps reduce anger, anxiety and intrusive thoughts.
