Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. People experience events and find meaning uniquely, shaping how we view the world. YOU are the expert in you. My role is to work with and support you, collaborating as partners to discover what will help you feel healthy, whole, and hopeful. Bring anything to our conversation- shed any shame! I value your voice and feedback, and will work to create a safe, trusting, therapeutic relationship. Whether you just want some "me time" conversation, to maintain healthy relationships, are really struggling right now, or are unsure of what you need, I'm here to be an empathetic listener, and non-judgmental support. My mind-body integrative approach is person-centered & solution focused, focusing on the whole person, and what will help you feel present in your own life again; not diagnoses. My hope is that you'll feel seen, heard, and empowered with skills to live fully through the good and bad. You are warmly invited to see if I'm the right fit to support your journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Everyone deserves wellness. Let's work together to find what will help you manage any concerns, and get you in a space of mental wellness- even through life's hard days. In our initial session together, we'll review informed consent and your intake paperwork together. Even if you'd attended counseling before, it's important that you fully understand what it is and is not, and have multiple opportunities to ask questions. We'll then just get to know each other a little better, and what you hope to get from counseling. It's also important that I'm able to assess and help plan for any safety concerns, provide referrals if necessary, and that we both feel counseling with me seems like a good fit. You should feel safe & supported with any therapist, so that you feel comfortable enough to say anything.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

People have told me what they really enjoy about me is my authenticity and presence. Many have said that it's easy to build therapeutic rapport with me because I have a genuine, non-judgmental, authentic approach, and focus on clients' needs, actively listening to your hopes, fears, and goals. I'm empathetic and compassionate, but can also gentle challenge when needed. Most find me pretty down to earth and relatable, as I've probably experienced many of the same things my clients have.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My areas of specialty include working with at-risk and struggling adolescents, children 7yo and up & their caregivers. Those struggling with trauma, ADHD & neurodivergence, substance use, self harm, depression, anxiety, anger, and psychoeducation are some of my other specialties. My lived experience may also be relatable for educators, musicians, and those struggling with addictions, but I have a wide array of experience and expertise. Just ask! Additionally, I also have unique experience working with folks who may be struggling with the effects of a major injury, living with chronic pain, or TBI. Teachers and educators may also find me to be helpful, as a former public school educator for over a decade.
