34 years of experience

Hello! I am a passionate and seasoned therapist who will help you achieve a sense of balance, inner harmony, and enthusiasm to be and to feel your best and to live the life you deserve. Results driven therapist with over 30 years of professional experience treating a wide range of problems. Depression, anxiety, loss, partner, substance abuse, occupational, trauma, military, and many other issues. Give me a call or drop me a line, we will work on this together.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session as required, we will complete an assessment. There will be a few questions about your childhood, education, and lifestyle. You are not required to answer anything that doesn't feel quite right, so don't worry. It won't take long and you will be afforded an opportunity to share your concerns. During this session we will form an initial relationship that will set the tone for our future session.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Homeopathic, holistic approach to mental health. I treat the entire patient at root cause. I don't think treating (symptoms) gets to (the problem) in many cases. You will learn tools to alieviate symptoms and we will do much more than that.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a treatment modality that generally assists in proactive preventive measures such as toolbox techniques, thought interruption, behavioral changes. It is very useful but by design, does not address root cause or underlying issues.

Motivational Interviewing

MI is a technique often used in chemical dependency treatment. It is anchored in a patients core strengths and employed with their addiction problems.

Psychodynamic psychotherapy- is not psychoanalysis as in Freud. Psychodynamic therapy addresses root cause issues such as traumas in childhood or beyond that manifest in current symptoms with or in most cases without conscious awareness of the connection.
