New to Grow
Hi there! As you are searching for the best therapist that is a good fit for you, first let me say "good for you!" As a therapist I bring warmth, curiosity and a sense of humor. You may be looking to address issues such as anxiety, improve relationships, or navigate transitions in your life. My approach to therapy is relational and existential in nature.
Our first few sessions will be to build the foundation of our therapeutic relationship by getting to know one another and creating the safe and trusted environment you deserve.
What makes me unique in my therapeutic approach is my strength in establishing excellent rapport with my clients. My clients feel safe with me and can open up easily as we discover who they are and how to move forward in creating self awareness with the possibility of true change, all withinw a non-judgemental atmosphere.
My ideal client is a person who is looking to explore who they are as a whole being: mentally, physically and spiritually. I enjoy working with a client who is motivated to learn about themselves, improve their quality of life, strengthen relationships, and want to live their best life. I enjoy working with clients who are curious about themselves as individuals as well as in their relationships with others and what their place is in the world.
Other specialties
I identify as
Compassion Focused
I find that as the client and I begin to establish the therapeutic relationship, self compassion is the foundation for establishing safety in the relationship as well as throughout our work together.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT as a means to explore a client's thoughts, emotions and behaviors as a tool to look for connections that will enable self awareness and insights to oneself.
Existential
In exploring with the client the bigger "why am I here" questions, a person can explore their spirituality as an important and integral part of who they are.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is a tool to use that helps with being in the present moment more often than the past or the future. I teach mindfulness techniques such as breathing and meditation.
Grief Therapy
I have experience supporting clients through the grief process with compassion, active listening and creating a safe presence to allow grieving to take place.
