Sandra Silva
Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I earned my Master’s degree from Barry University and have been in practice for over 12 years. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families facing trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, and depression.
I’m especially skilled at blending evidence-based techniques with faith-based support for those who seek spiritual guidance, and from a cultural perspective, coming from a Latino background.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques to create a safe, supportive space where healing and growth can happen. My goal is to help each client feel seen, understood, and empowered to live with purpose and hope
First session
In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, explore the current challenges you're facing, talk about your strengths, therapy goals, and discuss some of your personal history if time allows. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
Strengths
One of my greatest strengths as a clinician is my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to be honest and vulnerable. With over 12 years of experience, I bring a calm, steady presence and a deep understanding of how trauma, grief, and emotional struggles impact every area of life. I’m especially skilled at blending evidence-based techniques with faith-based support for those who seek spiritual guidance, and from a cultural perspective, coming from a Latino background. Clients often tell me they feel truly heard, empowered, and supported as we walk through their healing journey together.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve clients who are navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, and self-esteem issues. My experience makes me a strong fit for individuals and families seeking a safe, culturally sensitive space where their emotional, relational, and spiritual needs are honored. You also connect deeply with women facing seasons of change, such as loss, caregiving stress, or midlife challenges, and offer guidance rooted in both clinical expertise and Christian faith.
Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I work from a client-centered perspective by meeting the client where they are.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I am a bilingual Latin therapist who understands cultural differences and acknowledges how culture impacts our mental health.
Trauma-Informed Care
I use trauma-informed therapy to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel seen and heard without judgment. I recognize how past trauma can shape present emotions, relationships, and behaviors, and I approach each session with empathy, patience, and trust-building.
Christian Counseling
As a Christian, I will use Christian counseling to help clients explore their mental health through the lens of their spiritual beliefs, fostering deeper healing and purpose. Prayer, scripture, and spiritual reflection will be offered as optional tools, always respecting each client's comfort and personal journey with faith.
