New to Grow
Hello, my name is Lisa Kozlowski. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I care about my clients and want to see them enjoy their life. You will receive an empathic straightforward therapy and communication. You want understand yourself/others and healing? I am here to help you receive it. I can’t make you have it, but I will guide and teach you how to have it, but only you can do the work, and it takes practice. Therapy can be uncomfortable, my aim to decrease that feeling and increase the feelings that therapy is not scary or as uncomfortable as one thought. If this is not your first time to therapy, then you know exactly what you’re getting into!
My goal is for you to first feel heard and accepted, no judgements, along with assessing what has shaped your belief systems, life and/or feelings. We will set goals together. I get to know you and you get to know me. The ultimate goal is to help you heal and move on having and enjoying your life. The one thing rings true for all human race is we all long for acceptance and unconditional love. It is built inside everyone.
As a therapist, I continue to learn and expand my understanding of neuroscience. I love to discover and implement different techniques and insights into making or having the best therapeutic experience you can have. I am eclectic in my practice as I believe one thing does not fit everybody. However, there is one thing that is true for everybody, that is how you think drives how you feel. There is scientific evidence for this fact, come and find out.
Client expresses a desire for change and identifies feeling motivated to improve their emotional and behavioral well-being. Client reports being open to learning new coping strategies and engaging in the therapeutic process. Client shares increased awareness of their concerns, participates actively in sessions, and expresses a willingness to practice and apply new skills outside therapy to support continued growth and progress.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
My personal approach to therapy. I have been practicing some form of counseling for over 12 years.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My personal approach to therapy, "Where the mind goes, the man follows."
Eclectic
There is more than one approach, theory or intervention in therapy, and I use what meets the need of the client. There is no "one size fits all". Always remember, therapy is fluid.
Faith based therapy
My personal approach to therapy and life. The universe we live in has a Creator and the rest is up to you to define for me what that is in your therapy.
Psychodynamic
Ah, the origins for why we are here in therapy. Generations of some kind of maladaptive coping skills handed down to the children who are now adults. Come and find out what this is may be for you. Only you can define it for me and I will put it in order for you.
