New to Grow
I am empathetic, attentive and warm. My colleagues refer to me as authentic and genuine. My life experience has provided me with many perspectives on mental health conditions which include: chronic pain, addiction and life transitions like divorce, caregiving and career changes. I enjoy connecting with my clients to help them to feel comfortable and understood. My goal is to provide knowledge and skills to help my clients improve the quality of their life. I think that it is very important to be able to laugh and enjoy the experience of receiving support. I aim to keep sessions grounded in your reality and guide you to healthier life approaches and decision making.
In your first session I want to hear all about your personal reasons for seeking support. This session is aimed at building a comfortable and safe experience. In our first session, my main priority is making sure you feel safe and heard. We’ll start by slowing down and talking about why you've made the courageous step to seek support. You don’t need to have a 'perfect' way to explain your feelings—just come as you are. We’ll explore your history at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and by the end, we’ll decide together if I’m the right person to support you on this journey.
Empathy and Concern. I am passionate about inspiring others to develop a quality of life that feels right and comfortable.
Life transitions happen continuously throughout our lives. I help clients to adjust to large and small transitions. I have worked with clients navigating divorce, departure to college, emptyness, career changes, retirement, and aging. Throughout this process we address anxity and fear to help build confidence and well-being. My approach is to provide clients with practical skills to learn in session and to implement and practice outside of therapy.
