Hi! My name is T’onna Logan. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and currently practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I completed my Bachelors of Arts at Norfolk State University in Psychology, and my first Master’s Degree in Human Services Counseling with a Specialization in Marriage & Family Therapy. After this, I went on to pursue my second Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been practicing for 8 years and find passion in helping adolescents and adults work through their barriers and life challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions. At your pace, we will dive into the specific challenges you're facing and work together to create a plan of action to help you progress. We will utilize this session to build rapport and create clarity on the route you would like to take to become a better you!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are my own challenges and barriers that I have faced within life. This allows me to have empathy/sympathy into others situations without judgement. In addition to this, conquering my own difficulties, provide me with not only professional experience but personal experiences that gives me the tools needed to relate to my client's circumstances. Lastly, I am professionally transparent. I do not mind leveling with my client's and sharing my life stories in a way that is beneficial to our sessions to remind my clients that all individuals have challenges. With a combination of my personal and educational experience, I have learned that it is not about the challenge, but how you conquer it.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is utilized in counseling by helping clients break their negative thinking pattern and create new positive ways of viewing their situation. Clients will be challenged on their faulty thinking patterns, and learn exercises to break the "worst case scenario" thinking patterns that we as people can form within ourselves.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused is utilized in counseling by helping clients identify their problem. However, rather than staying focused on the problem, we will focus on a variety of solutions that will help us move from the problem to growth!
