Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) based in North Carolina. I received my Masters Degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). I have been in private practice for 32 years. I help adults and older teenagers with grief & loss, relationship struggles, depression, life’s anxieties and with becoming the best version of their authentic self.
In our first session I will lay the foundation of our professional working relationship by going over informed consent, support you in sharing what has brought you into therapy, and learn about you and your individual story. This will allow me to learn what you’re needing and wanting to work on in order to feel better and more empowered. Learning about you and what you’re going thru will allow me to formulate a plan for our follow-up sessions.
Working with hundreds of clients for the past 32 years has allowed me to develop an expertise in helping people become the best version of themselves. An uncommon empathy is a great gift of mine and has aided me in being able to passionately support my clients. I am committed to my own self development and never stop working on myself. This is a great benefit to my clients in that I am always learning new ideas and tools to pass on.
I am passionate about working with people who are desiring to grow emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually and are eager to improve their relationship with their own self and important others. My clients are those who are seeking to know and learn more about their own individual authenticity and are seeking more joy by coping with life’s hardships more effectively to live the best life they can achieve.
