About me

Hi there! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California focusing providing empathetic, practical, client centered support for a variety of mental heath concerns. I specialize in anxiety, depression, relationship stress, work related stress, psychosis, and suicidal thoughts. Whether it is everyday stressors, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, or something more acute, I hope I can be the provider to help you manage and mitigate symptoms. My goal is to help equip clients with the tools and skills they need to be the best versions of themselves, and help make steps towards their goals so they can start living the life they aspire to. As an ally, my goal is to create a deeply collaborative space where your whole identity, including your race, gender, sexuality, sexual orientation, and neurodivergence, is honored. I recognize how systemic oppression impacts mental health, and I am committed to walking alongside you without judgment. Together, we will unpack your unique story and build a path toward healing on your own terms. Outside of work, you can find me engaging with a variety of my favorite self care activities. Spending time in nature, taking my elderly dog on hikes or to the beach, sharing meals with loved ones, or reading fictional literature.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and learn what you hope to gain from the process. We will go through your intake form in more depth to help get a baseline on how we can work together to prioritize your needs. We’ll talk about your current concerns, relevant history, and what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past. I also want you to get a feel for my style and ask questions. By the end of the session, we can begin identifying goals and shaping a treatment approach that feels realistic, comfortable, and tailored to you

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my flexibility. I don’t believe one therapeutic approach works for every person, so I tailor treatment to each client’s personality, symptoms, goals, and circumstances. I draw from different theoretical approaches depending on what will be most helpful, while continuing to adjust as the client’s needs change. My goal is to meet clients where they are rather than expecting them to fit into a single model of therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is interested in growth and willing to be open about their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I value honest communication in the therapeutic relationship, including feedback when something in session feels uncomfortable, overwhelming, or simply isn’t working. Therapy should feel collaborative, and I want clients to feel comfortable speaking up so we can adjust the approach together and create a treatment plan that truly fits their needs.

My treatment methods

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

SFBT can be especially useful because it focuses less on extensively analyzing the problem and more on the client’s goals, strengths, exceptions to the problem, and small achievable changes. While it may not be the best modality for each situation, it’s a good starting point to help us both analyze what the main priorities are.
