Hello, welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in California. I have been in the mental health field since 2015 and been practicing as a therapist for 6 years. My goal is to help clients gain control over their mental health symptoms - whether it is anxiety, depression, trauma or adjustment to recent stressors that might be impacting their daily life - so that they can better understand how their mental health impacts them and feel supported to be able to implement changes in their life to overcome them. My clients will be able to develop the tools needed so that they can feel confident doing so moving forward.
From my session with me you can expect a welcoming and supportive approach. I value open communication and creating a safe environment for my clients to be able to be a support for them. In our first session we would go over introductions and begin to get to know each other so that I can better understand how I can support you. We will then work on the assessment process as well as setting treatment goals in order to figure out how therapy can be helpful to you and where we can start.
My strength as a provider is being able to build a trusting relationship with my clients so that we can work together to better understand the needs and challenges that my client might be facing and how to address them with goals and treatment specifically customized to my clients.
I enjoy helping other professionals who are developing in their careers who might be experiencing stress, anxiety and depression. My clients are seeking treatment because they recognize that something isn't working in their lives the way that they want it to and are motivated to gain skills and support to be able to implement changes and develop ways of managing their stressors in a way that helps them create the life that they want and pursue the goals that they are wanting to focus on.
I utilize CBT with clients to help them build insight into their thinking patterns and how they impact them and connect with their emotions and behaviors so that they are able to challenge, reframe and replace negative thinking patterns to help them increase positive emotions about themselves and manage symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Psychoeducation is used to help clients better understand their symptoms and their needs so that they can have more information regarding how they impact them. Being able to understand the impact of their symptoms helps clients feel more in control in their treatment and feel empowered to implement behavioral and cognitive changes to help manage them.
I utilize psychodynamic therapy with clients who are wanting to build strong insight into how their past experiences are connected to current challenges that they are facing and helping them work through them so that they can increase their self-worth and confidence in themselves. I like to incorporate a lot of self-reflection to help you be able to better understand yourself and the patterns in your life.
