I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 20 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, trauma, and life’s challenges. I currently serve as the Regional Clinical Vice President at Effective School Solutions, where I lead and support mental health programming across school-based settings. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with clients ages 8–65 in a wide range of environments, including residential treatment programs, group homes, schools, outpatient settings, and higher education. This experience allows me to bring both depth and flexibility to my work, meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to their unique needs. My approach is warm, collaborative, and skill-based. I specialize in CBT, DBT, and trauma-focused work, helping clients better understand their patterns, regulate emotions, and build practical tools for lasting change. Many of my clients are high-functioning but feel overwhelmed internally, and together we focus on creating balance, confidence, and a stronger sense of control in their lives.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive space where you can share your story at your own pace. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, any current stressors, and your past experiences with therapy if applicable. Together, we’ll begin identifying your goals, explore your strengths, and create a plan that feels tailored to you. I’ll also introduce my collaborative, skills-based approach and offer a practical strategy you can start using right away. Most importantly, our first session is about building trust and laying the foundation for meaningful, lasting progress.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a provider are creating a safe, validating space while helping clients build practical, evidence-based skills to navigate anxiety, emotions, and life’s challenges. I take a trauma-informed, skill-based approach that supports clients in understanding their patterns, strengthening resilience, and making meaningful, lasting changes. I’m authentic, collaborative, and adaptable in my work, meeting each client where they are while empowering them to grow and move forward with confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to support individuals who are motivated for growth but may feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or self-doubt. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, managing stress, or working through challenges related to mood, relationships, or past experiences. My ideal client is open to a collaborative, skill-based approach and is looking for practical tools to better understand and manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. They may be high-functioning on the outside but internally struggling with negative self-talk, difficulty regulating emotions, or feeling overwhelmed by daily demands. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening coping strategies, and creating meaningful, sustainable change so clients can feel more confident, balanced, and in control of their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier, more effective ways of coping. Together, we explore how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected, building insight into patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Through practical exercises, skill-building, and between-session strategies, clients learn to reframe thinking, regulate emotions, and make meaningful behavioral changes that support overall well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help clients build skills to better manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and increase overall stability. DBT focuses on four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I work with clients to develop practical, real-life strategies, such as grounding techniques, coping skills for high-stress moments, and tools for navigating conflict. DBT is especially helpful for individuals who experience strong emotional reactions or feel overwhelmed, providing structured skills to create balance, reduce impulsivity, and build a more stable, fulfilling life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Using a person-centered approach, I prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe that each individual is the expert in their own life, and my role is to support and guide rather than direct. Through empathy, genuine connection, and unconditional positive regard, I help clients explore their experiences, build self-awareness, and strengthen confidence in their ability to make meaningful choices. This approach fosters personal growth, self-acceptance, and lasting change at a pace that feels right for each client.

Trauma-Focused CBT

Using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), I help clients process and heal from past traumatic experiences in a safe, structured, and supportive way. This approach focuses on understanding how trauma impacts thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building skills to manage distress and regain a sense of control. I guide clients through gradual, evidence-based steps that may include developing coping strategies, processing traumatic memories, and strengthening emotional regulation. TF-CBT is designed to reduce trauma-related symptoms, increase resilience, and help clients move forward with greater confidence and stability.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Using Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), I help clients identify their strengths and focus on practical, achievable solutions rather than staying stuck in problems. This approach is goal-oriented and forward-focused, helping clients build on what’s already working in their lives. Together, we clarify goals, explore past successes, and develop small, manageable steps that lead to meaningful change. SFBT is especially helpful for clients who are looking for efficient, results-driven support and want to see progress in a relatively short period of time.
