Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Pennsylvania. I received my master's in art therapy with a Specialization in counseling from the Seton Hill University and have been practicing for 5 years. I help children, adolescents and adults cope with anxiety, depression and anger management. I am trauma informed and culturally sensitive with those I help treat. I believe that creative expression can be helpful to those who find words difficult to express.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am a therapist who provides herself on being culturally competent. I am constantly tuning into my own possible bias and working through ways to overcome any obstacles that may rise working with diverse populations. I strive to ask thought provoking questions and provide validating statements to help my clients feed seen and heard. With my experience working with at-risk youth, I have developed a sense of resiliency and patience, which is required to earn the trust of my clients. I am compassion driven, and flexible in how I provide therapy. I have gained experience working with adults as well, which has provided me with more insight into how diverse and complex each of us are as individuals as we grow older and come to face a variety of challenges and opportunities to grow in resiliency.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT through guided thought reconstruction, identifying thought patterns and challenging thinking errors

Trauma Informed Care

I use Trauma Infored Care in my practice by being mindful of the complex nature of trauma and the unique effects it has on each individual. I do this by first creating a place to process distressful thoughts and feelings related to the trauma. I consider myself a trauma informed care professional, in the sense that I am aware of the complexities that come with experiencing traumatic events. I use unconditional positive regard to help promote feelings of empowerment and healing.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I have provided therapy to individuals of many different backgrounds and use this in my practicing by being sensitive to an individual's culture and ensuring they feel heard and respected.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use person-centered approaches in my practice by referring to the client to be the expert of their own lives and treatment process. I view therapy from a holistic lens, where I feel treatment should focus on the client as a whole. This means I evaluate internal and external factors, such as a clients personal and world views, relationship dynamics and mind-body connection. I use these factors to help clients identify new ways to cope with distressful emotions. I view myself as a therapist who presents herself in a curious manner and allow space for the client to let me know what they want and need.
