About me

I am a licensed therapist who specializes in anxiety and depression. I became an LCSW because, quite simply, I love people and have the deepest respect for all living things. I have a masters in Social work and background in Psychology, Sociology and Education. I believe that every individual has innate strengths and my goal is to help you tap into yours. Whether you are in a difficult life transition, navigating healthy relationships, or looking to understand yourself more deeply, I am here to empower you so that you can move from feeling "stuck" to feeling capable.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I don't just listen to problems, I listen for solutions. My approach is deeply informed by my fascination with psychology, neuroscience, and sociology. In our sessions you can expect a warm, collaborative environment where we combine empathy with evidence based practices to create real change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I somewhat stumbled into clinical work, but it has changed my life and given me a deeper sense of purpose. I am inspired by the resilience that I see in people whether it be in my community or people that I speak to as a therapist. Coming from East Los Angeles and a single parent household, I was a firsthand witness to adverse childhood experiences, chronic stress, and what it looks like for people to live in survival mode. These experiences shaped my ability to see people within the context of their experiences rather than simply through their symptoms. At heart, I am a helper and an educator. I am passionate about empowering others through empathy, education and practical tools. I strive to create a space where people feel understood while also helping them recognize their strengths and develop new skills.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may feel stuck, overwhelmed or unsure of how to move forward, but is ready to try something different. I enjoy working with people who are open to therapy, curious about themselves, and willing to be honest. I especially value clients who want practical tools they can apply outside of therapy and are willing to practice new skills as they work on greater self-confidence, self-awareness and meaningful change.
