Jessica Stoelting
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with both my Master’s and Doctorate degrees from the University of South Carolina. My clinical focus is on stress management and helping individuals better understand how their mental health connects to their daily lives. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy creative outlets and spending time in nature, which helps me stay grounded and brings balance to my own life. I value incorporating these principles into my practice, encouraging clients to find healthy, meaningful ways to manage stress and reconnect with themselves.
As a certified trauma-informed coach, I understand that many of us have had adverse experiences that have shaped us.

First session
The first session will be an informational session where we get to know each other. Medications are not always prescribed after the first visit. Sometimes, further evaluation time or testing is needed.
Strengths
My approach goes beyond traditional medication management. While I thoughtfully prescribe when appropriate, I also incorporate therapy and targeted lifestyle interventions to address the root causes of mental health challenges. I work with clients to build sustainable habits around sleep, nutrition, movement, and stress, while fostering a growth mindset that supports long-term change. This approach is ideal for individuals who want to be active participants in their healing and are ready to invest in lasting transformation—not just short-term symptom relief.
Ideal clients
I work best with individuals who are ready for change and willing to take action. My areas of focus include veterans, OCD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and mental health concerns related to chronic illness, as well as addictions involving alcohol, food, or gambling. If you’re motivated, open to growth, and committed to improving your life and relationships, we’ll work well together. My goal is to help you move beyond just coping-toward real, lasting transformation. Psychotherapy in my practice is typically an add-on service to medication management visits rather than psychotherapy visits alone. ***Please note: I do not fill out disability paperwork for clients.***
Treatment methods
Supportive
Supportive psychotherapy helps patients who are having difficulty adjusting to their disorder, family, school or work. It helpful for patients who are overwhelmed by stress and life in general. Through this process, I help patients reframe negative thoughts, consider alternative choices, and learn and apply coping skills. This type of therapy is usually added on to the medication management visits.
