We can have difficulties after experiencing a traumatic event. At times, we can feel numb, depressed or unable to regulate our emotions while navigating through life. For parents, it can be overwhelming for children dealing with behavioral issues and/or emotional problems. You are not alone! Here at Helping Hands, clients experience trauma healing through the word of God. As a trained therapist, I empower my clients by unpacking the cores of their trauma including generational cycles and spiritual issues. I help my clients with tools that they can apply according to the word of God. During this process of assisting my clients, I guide them to receive healing through Christ. My counseling modalities are Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Play therapy. I work with children and adolescents with emotional neglect, abandonment, PTSD, depression, and oppositional defiant/ behavioral issues. I work with adults (females only) with unresolved childhood trauma, anxiety, parental trauma, generational cycles, spiritual issues, narcissism abuse, emotional abandonment, father and mother wound, relationship issues, sexual abuse and depression. I am a Master's Level Licensed Mental Health Counselor with training in Trauma Work.

Sarah's faith based approach drew me to schedule with her, and she was so helpful right at the first session, using scripture to help guide my thoughts and next steps. Thank you!

Sarah is one of the kindest, most loving, and thought-provoking people I’ve ever had the blessing to know. She has this incredible way of challenging me—not in a harsh or uncomfortable way—but in a way that opens my eyes and my heart to things I didn’t even realize I needed to see. Her presence has brought so much growth into my life. She’s helped me look at myself with more grace and honesty, and she’s guided me through healing both mentally and physically. I am so thankful for her!
