Hi, there, I'm Lucinda! Are you struggling a bit in your day-to-day activities? Would you like to begin to have a feeling of peace again - more like yourself? I work with women and men ages 14 and over and specialize in anxiety, life transitions, emotional challenges, and trauma. I'm also happy to work with clients who desire to meet with someone from a faith-based, Christian perspective, as well. We'll work together to identify what's working and what's not working in your life and then find workarounds to improve how you feel. Seeking therapy can be scary, but I'm here to make your journey a safe place to grow and heal. In our time together, I'll meet you with compassion and unconditional regard, so you can overcome the thoughts and situations that hold you back. I can't wait to meet you!
My style and approach fit well with clients struggling with anxiety, life transitions, and emotional challenges. These challenges often include anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and family disharmony. My approach also benefits those struggling with grief, unresolved trauma, and PTSD. I help my clients navigate these transition periods and build skills to allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. My approach to goal setting with you rests in collaborative efforts, working together to identify what you want to accomplish and finding the best, most direct ways to get there. We begin by getting to know one another, and by building trust, we can navigate the therapy process in a safe and accepting environment.
My approach to therapy varies based on your need. I use Humanistic/Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help my clients progress and start feeling better. These modalities help us build a shared understanding of your current reality. They also help identify past emotional barriers, which allows us to work together to set goals and move forward. You can expect our first session together to be a time of talking with you - how you've been feeling recently, what makes you happy, what makes you sad or frustrated, and then exploring the reasons you're feeling that way, and begin to shed some light on the reasons why. The first session is about building an initial connection and helping me understand where we might begin to set some goals. You'll also have a chance to ask me some questions and get to know me better.
My communication style is warm, approachable, and comforting as we embrace challenges together. I want you to feel safe and comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on the ability to listen without judgment. I decided to become a therapist because people intrigue me, and I have always wanted to help nurture others to discover their best future, regardless of the past. I'm naturally drawn to helping people through difficult times and seeing beyond their current situations and circumstances. I enjoy seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves.

Ms. Lucinda is a wonderful person , she cares about my wellbeing, and how I am feeling she’s offered me to contact her if need be in between sessions . I appreciate that more than she knows. Love her to death. She gave me hope when I thought all hope was gone.

I greatly appreciate Lucinda's forthright and kindly counsel. She tells me what I need to hear and do, and I very much take these things to heart and pray the Lord to help me apply what she shares!

Unfortunately for me ,my life seems to be consistently upside down inside out, trauma drama and as much as I try to get out of it all the external forces on the planet are railing against me if I didn’t have Lucinda to talk to every week on Tuesday . I’d probably just snap apart into little pieces and you would never put me back together again. I depend on her. She has been here for me for a long time & has supported me to get through whatever I am going through. None of it is easy. I’m grateful
