I am a licensed professional counselor dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate life's challenges with understanding and support. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, or difficult life transitions, I offer a compassionate, evidence-based approach tailored to your unique needs. Through our work together, I aim to help you build greater emotional resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and create lasting positive change, empowering you to lead a more fulfilling and balanced life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we'll begin building a positive and collaborative working relationship. We'll take time to get to know each other, explore what brings you here, and discuss your goals for treatment. Together, we'll identify any challenges or roadblocks that may be standing in your way and start outlining a path forward. My aim is to create a safe space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered as we work toward your goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, my greatest strengths lie in my experience with managing trauma and mood disorders, offering a compassionate and informed approach to healing. I have a strong foundation in psychiatric medication management and can help to guide you through that process if desired. Above all, I pride myself on being genuine and honest, creating a nonjudgmental space where you feel truly understood.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals understand and reshape the thoughts and behaviors that impact their emotional well-being. Through a collaborative, goal-oriented approach, I work with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore their effects, and replace them with healthier, more constructive perspectives. Whether managing anxiety, stress, depression, or other challenges, CBT provides practical tools for clients to gain greater self-awareness and develop effective coping strategies. By empowering individuals to make positive changes in their thought processes and actions, I help them build a foundation of resilience and create lasting improvements of their mental health.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help individuals who have experienced trauma to begin to understand and process their emotional responses. CPT is a structured, evidence-based therapy that focuses on identifying and challenging the thoughts and beliefs that may have been shaped by traumatic experiences. Together, we work to examine how these thoughts impact your feelings and behaviors, and through this process, help you reshape your understanding of the trauma. By learning to reframe unhelpful or distressing beliefs, you can reduce the power that trauma has over your daily life, and regain a sense of control and healing. CPT is designed to empower you, allowing you to find new, healthier ways to think about your experiences, rebuild trust in yourself, and reclaim a sense of safety and peace in your life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help individuals develop the skills needed to navigate emotional challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. DBT combines mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness to provide clients with a comprehensive toolkit for managing intense emotions and improving relationships. By fostering a balance between acceptance and change, I guide clients in learning to accept themselves as they are while also empowering them to make positive, meaningful changes. Whether working through issues like self-acceptance, impulsivity, or emotional dysregulation, DBT offers a compassionate, structured approach to creating lasting transformation and emotional stability. Through this evidence-based therapy, clients can develop the resilience and skills they need to handle life's difficulties with confidence and grace.
