With 17 years of experience, I offer an empathic and collaborative approach in order to help build resilience and the ability to maintain a sense of well-being for my female client's. I believe in the "whole person" approach, focusing on enhancing stability, insight, and personal growth in both life goals and in personal and professional relationships. My goal is to foster a safe, trusting, culturally sensitive, and respectful relationship towards my client's.
My intake process is first to give the respect and time that one needs in order to build trust and rapport. My goal is not to just fill out measures or forms but to see the person for who and what they are and need. I am respectful and sensitive towards different cultures and life experiences. My goal is to help my client's move out of feeling stuck and to gain efficacy and resiliency which can maintain a sense of purpose, stability, and safety in one's lives. Helping one build hope, protective factors, and insight in order to manage the different life stressors along the way. I am open to work with different genders, cultures, races, and age groups.
I believe my greatest strength is having a lot of experience and understanding how intergenerational trauma affects and impacts one's sense of self, safety, and security in this world. I believe in the power of resiliency, not seeing others solely as victims, but as survivors who can thrive and exceed, with guidance and support.
I prefer working with women of different age groups, cultures, and races, yet I do not want to exclude the LGBTQIA2S community as well. I want to help support not only surviving different traumas but helping find one’s own strengths, abilities, insight and power in order to thrive and succeed. Prior to being a therapist I worked as a health educator primarily with women, adolescents, and teen girls. I helped my client’s in improving their mental health and wellness. Learning how to advocate and access resources, building appropriate coping skills and tools in order to gain personal growth and confidence.
