Hi, I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the proud owner of Synergy Psychiatry. With a focus on evidence-based, compassionate care, I founded Synergy to create a space where patients feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to make mental health treatment approachable, personalized, and empowering. I earned my PMHNP at Wayne State University, focusing on psychiatric care, and I bring years of experience working in mental health settings. My approach is rooted in collaboration. I believe in working closely with clients to understand their goals, provide thoughtful medication management, and explore holistic strategies that promote emotional well-being.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

My care style is warm, supportive, and team-oriented. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, specializing in working with teenagers to navigate life's challenges. This can include anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood swings, behavior problems, school stress, and more. I believe that every client and family is unique. I like to spend time getting to know them before suggesting treatment options. Mental health care shouldn't feel rushed or generic. I take time during appointments to listen to your concerns and collaborate with you to tailor treatment to your needs. I provide careful medication management and supportive therapy, all while keeping in mind how things like family relationships, trauma, friendships, school or work, and life stressors can affect your emotions. I strive to work with kids, teens, adults, and families to feel stronger, more emotionally regulated, and empowered in their day-to-day life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach to care is collaborative, person-centered, and grounded in mutual respect. I view each client as the expert in their own life, and my role is to listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and work alongside you to create a treatment plan that fits your goals and values. I take time to build trust and ensure that care feels personalized, not one-size-fits-all. In our work together, I incorporate both medication management and supportive psychotherapy, depending on your needs. I also consider the impact of environment, trauma, identity, and systemic barriers on mental health. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or ADHD, or you’re simply feeling stuck, I aim to provide a space where you feel heard and supported.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns who are seeking clarity, support, and effective treatment. Many of my patients come to me feeling unheard, misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or questioning if their medications were really helping. I aim to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care throughout all stages of life. I work collaboratively with patients and families to gain a better understanding of symptoms, diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term objectives. We will work together to create a treatment plan you feel is realistic, collaborative, and sustainable for you while supporting your emotional well-being, daily functioning, and quality of life.

My treatment methods

Supportive

In my practice, I use supportive therapy often, especially with clients who may not be ready for deeper work or who are in the midst of acute distress. I’ve found it particularly effective in working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, or adjustment-related stress. I use techniques like active listening, reframing negative thoughts, offering reassurance, and helping clients identify and use their existing coping strategies.
