Danielle Ward-Gee
"Hello! I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist dedicated to creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can show up fully as yourself. In my practice, I work with adults and individuals navigating anxiety, major life transitions, relationship challenges, or burnout. My goal is to help you feel heard, build practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting healing at a pace that feels comfortable for you."
First session
Clients can expect a non‑judgmental, supportive environment where they can openly discuss what brought them into therapy. The first session is typically a collaborative conversation focused on understanding their concerns, exploring what they hope to work on, and beginning to build comfort with the therapeutic process. They’ll have space to share their story at their own pace and ask any questions they may have about therapy, confidentiality, or how sessions will work. The first meeting often includes goal setting so clients and therapist can identify initial priorities and outline next steps together. Overall, the first session helps clients feel grounded, informed, and supported as they begin their therapeutic journey.
Strengths
"My greatest strength as a therapist is creating a deeply safe, affirming, and authentic space where you never have to hide parts of yourself. I specialize in building strong therapeutic relationships rooted in genuine active listening and curiosity. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all advice, I help you tune into your own inner wisdom, process difficult emotions, and cultivate self-compassion."
Ideal clients
"My ideal client is someone who is ready for meaningful change and willing to do the work, even if they aren't sure where to start. You don't need to have all the answers or a clear roadmap before coming to therapy—just a desire to see growth in your life. Together, we will break down what feels overwhelming and build a path forward step by step."
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT in a really down‑to‑earth way. Together, we look at the connection between your thoughts, your emotions, and the outcomes you’re seeing in your life. Most people don’t realize how quickly certain thought patterns can shape how they feel or respond — so we slow things down and explore those patterns with curiosity, not judgment. From there, we practice more balanced ways of thinking and build coping strategies that actually fit your day‑to‑day life. It’s a collaborative process: we figure out what’s working, what isn’t, and what small shifts can help you feel more grounded and in control. Over time, clients often notice they’re catching unhelpful thoughts earlier and responding in ways that feel healthier and more aligned with who they want to be.
