LCSW, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with seven years of experience. I bring a deep understanding of mental health, emotional well-being, and social support systems. I have spent years providing therapy and crisis intervention to individuals, families, and communities, often working in diverse settings such as schools, community agencies, and private practice. With extensive training in evidence-based therapeutic techniques and a strong commitment to advocacy, I work with clients to navigate complex challenges such as trauma, addiction, family dynamics, and systemic barriers.
At your first therapy session, you can expect a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment where the focus is on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. The session typically begins with introductions and a brief explanation of how therapy works, including confidentiality, session structure, and my approach as your therapist. I may ask questions about your personal history, current concerns, mental health background, and what you hope to achieve in therapy. It's normal for you not to have all the answers right away—there’s no pressure to "have it all figured out." The first session is also a chance for you to ask questions, get a feel for my therapeutic style and begin building a trusting relationship. While deep emotional work might not start right away, you can expect to leave with a clearer understanding of the process and a sense of what the next steps will be.
As a therapist, I offer a warm, supportive, and client-centered approach that fosters a safe space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. With a master's degree in social work and over seven years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to my practice. I work collaboratively with clients to help them explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences while developing practical tools for coping and change. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or life transitions, I tailor my therapeutic approach to meet each client’s unique needs. I believe in the power of authenticity, trust, and human connection as the foundation for meaningful change and lasting emotional well-being
An ideal client for me is someone who is open to the therapeutic process and willing to engage in honest self-reflection, even when it feels uncomfortable. They may not have all the answers or know exactly where to begin, but they show a genuine commitment to personal growth and emotional healing. This client values consistency, attends sessions regularly, and works collaboratively with the therapist by setting goals and being open to feedback. They understand that change takes time and are patient with themselves throughout the journey. Most importantly, an ideal client is someone who is motivated to better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and is ready to take active steps toward building a more balanced and fulfilling life.
