I offer tangible tools to promote healing and change and would like to partner with you on your path towards wellness. My approach is collaborative, trauma informed and respectful; meeting you where you're at and assisting in where you need to be. I specialize in substance use disorders as well as depression and anxiety disorders. I have over 13 years of clinical experience working in settings including substance use clinics, outpatient mental health facilities as well as with Veterans. I have assisted clients in working through behavioral issues, impulsivity, loss, relationship issues, self esteem issues, addictions and effectively managing mood disorders. I am passionate about empowering you to recognize your strengths to confidently face current and future challenges.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first therapy session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you in. I will inquire about your current concerns, review personal history, mental health background and the goals you may have for therapy. We will also review confidentiality and discuss how sessions are structured and scheduling. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what you are comfortable with and get a sense of if this will be a good fit. This is a gradual process with no pressure to share everything right away. The first session is just the starting point.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked in various treatment settings including substance use treatment, outpatient mental health hospital and with Veterans Affairs I have a unique background with the ability to connect with people of all walks of life and different challenges faced. I am able to build rapport and have a strength in meeting clients where they are at to identify appropriate treatment modalities to best serve and support therapy goals.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is a client who is motivated to make meaningful changes to their mental health and overall well being. They may be experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, life transitions or substance use and are seeking support to better understand themselves and develop healthier coping strategies. These individuals are often ready to engage in the therapeutic process and are open to exploring patterns in their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. Working towards building insight, strengthen resilience and work toward lasting personal growth.
