Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LCAC) based in Indiana. I received my Masters from the Indiana University and have been practicing for more than fifteen years. It is my goal to help clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or other mood disorders increase their understanding of their emotions as well as how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected in order to empower them to live their best life.
In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then allow you to set the pace as we move forward into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
I am committed to creating a warm and welcoming space where every individual feels seen, heard, and understood with an approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, open communication
I am passionate about my career and have experience with adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, family and relationship problems, grief, depression, addiction, trauma, self-esteem, or emotional regulation.
I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past fourteen years. Through collaboration and honest dialogue, I assist clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
I’ve been using psychoeducation in my practice in order to provide clients with critical information about different psychological concepts and mental health terms, their specific problems, and the relationships between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in order to increase client's knowledge about various facets of their illness and its treatment so that we can work together for a better overall outcome.
