LMHC, 6 years of experience

Authentic
Humorous
Open-minded

Greetings! I'm a Licensed Mental Health counselor based in Indiana, and a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington with 6 years of experience working with folks of all ages going through big life changes and transitions. I am a existential-humanistic counselor, meaning that I am here to support my clients as they navigate a world that for lots of people can be alienating, isolating and dehumanizing. It is my hope that through meaningful connection is it possible to gain resilience and experience liberation from patterns that no longer serve us.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First off I like to get to know you a bit, get a sense of what brought you to therapy, and work together to co-create a set of initial goals for therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe that by offering a safe, empathic space to be yourself, you can develop zest and energy, turn pain into purpose and action, and find joy, liberation, and meaningful connection. I provide a non-judgemental, uplifting environment and use a fair bit of humor to connect with and validate my clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with folks faced with feeling stuck, searching for meaning, and struggling with issues of identity and belonging.

My treatment methods

Existential

I offer a supportive space for self-exploration and meaning making to aid those needing recovery from loss, trauma and other life-limiting challenges.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I treat the person in front of me, not just a list of their problems. I use person-centered language that is non-judgemental, and I invite others to become more understanding and accepting of the way their behavior is shaped by self and world.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use SFBT techniques to empower clients, build on existing strengths, and treat them as a whole person rather than something needing to be fixed.
