New to Grow
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California, with a passion for helping others. I come alongside my clients to empower them to grow into their true authentic self, while navigating the difficulties of life. Our day to day life brings about a lot of different and sometimes difficult emotions. I want to assist my clients in figuring out ways to honor those emotions while gaining control of them. I utilize DBT, Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy to assist clients in processing the past to better their present and future.
In our first session together you can expect a space where you feel welcomed and heard. My goal is to learn about who you are, what you are struggling with, and what makes you unique. We will work together and collaborate on goals you have for therapy. I want our sessions to be built on a strong foundation, and in our first session we will work together to build one.
I am a kind and compassionate therapist who prioritizes creating a safe space where you can feel open to share. With my 9 years of experience as a therapist, I have learned a wide range of tools and skills to bring to our sessions together. I tailor my approach specifically to each client as I believe each person is unique and needs different support. I care deeply about my clients and the work that I do. It is a privilege for me to be able to walk alongside my clients.
My ideal clients are clients struggling with anxiety, depression, generational trauma, or navigating significant life changes. I enjoy working with clients who need space to figure out boundaries and emotional regulation skills. They enjoy collaborating with me to figure out how to work towards their goals. They are ready and willing to step into unknown territory to better themselves. Whether you feel stuck, confused or unsure about what's next, I am here to provide a space to find those answers.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I utilize Dialectal Behavior Therapy to assist client in gaining skills to manage emotions. Emotions come and go, with DBT skills, we can learn ways to gain control of the emotions instead of the other way around. We cannot avoid emotions but we can learn to regulate them.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems, specifically parts work, allows us to view ourselves in parts. By doing this we can understand how to strength parts that serve us and give less power to those that do not. We can determine who we are and how we want to live out our life.
Narrative
Through Narrative therapy, we are empowered to tell our own story. By determining our story and reclaiming our past as ours, we can shift our perspective on how we view ourselves.
