As a trauma-informed therapist, I specialize in helping individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected begin to make sense of their pain and rediscover their inner strength. I work with veterans and survivors of trauma, as well as individuals navigating depression, anxiety, ADHD, and relational challenges. My role is part guide, part witness — offering insight, tools, and compassionate support as you move from survival into self-trust, clarity, and meaningful connection.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other. We'll talk about your strengths, the challenges you're facing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. This is also a chance for both of us to see if we’re a good fit—because having the right connection is essential for meaningful work. I’ll bring honesty, curiosity, and respect to the conversation, and I invite you to do the same. If it feels like a good match, we’ll move forward together. And if it seems that another provider might be a better fit, I’m happy to help you explore other options. My goal is to help you connect with the support that’s right for you—and if you appreciate my curiosity and direct, compassionate feedback, that may very well be me.
As a counselor, my greatest strengths lie in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where transformation can take root. I help clients explore their inner world with honesty and curiosity—supporting them in uncovering their unique perspectives, integrating different parts of themselves, and developing meaningful insight. Clients often tell me they feel both seen and empowered in our work together. I bring a calm, steady presence to difficult conversations and am deeply committed to growth—my own and theirs. Whether we're navigating deep emotional wounds or exploring creative ways to reframe challenges, I aim to be both a grounded guide and a catalyst for change. Colleagues have described me as kind, accepting, trustworthy, and unafraid to “get in the trenches” with clients, offering direct communication and compassionate strength when it’s needed most. My role is not to fix, but to walk alongside—to help clients reclaim their voice, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and alchemize pain into possibility.
I work with individuals and couples ages 18 and up who are ready to actively engage in their healing journey. My ideal clients are those who may not have all the answers—but are open, curious, and interested in transformation. I offer a collaborative and grounded presence for those navigating life’s challenges, especially when the path feels uncertain or overwhelming. There are no quick fixes in therapy, but with the right support, growth is possible—even in the face of pain. If you're looking for a counselor who brings a balance of strength, compassion, honest feedback, and encouragement, I may be a good fit. Together, we can work to untangle what’s holding you back and move toward lasting change.
I am a graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute, where I was trained in a Jungian, depth-oriented, and person-centered approach to counseling. My work is rooted in the belief that healing begins with compassionate self-exploration and a willingness to face life’s challenges with honesty and courage. With over 20 years of experience teaching yoga, meditation, and mindfulness, I integrate mind-body practices into therapy to support clients in managing stress, anxiety, and depression. These practices cultivate awareness, self-acceptance, and resilience—reinforcing the idea that while pain is a part of life, growth and healing are possible even in the most difficult moments. My counseling style is eclectic and responsive to each client’s unique needs. Depending on what you’re seeking, our work may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), existential inquiry, dream work, and art therapy. These approaches can help uncover the root causes of emotional pain, identify triggers, challenge limiting beliefs, and build the capacity to make meaningful changes. Together, we create a supportive space to process difficult emotions, reconnect with choice, and move toward a more balanced and empowered life.
