Sara Avery
I work with adults and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, aging, and life changes, including the unique experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals. Together, we can talk openly about what you're going through and find ways to make life feel more balanced.
Treatment methods
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted for who you are. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative. Together, we'll explore what you're going through, better understand your feelings and experiences, and recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We'll also make space for deeper questions about meaning, purpose, relationships, loss, and life's transitions. While I value self-discovery and personal growth, I also offer practical tools and strategies to help you navigate challenges and make meaningful changes. My goal is to meet you where you are, honor your unique experiences, and help you move toward a life that feels more fulfilling and true to who you are.
