Hi there! I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. It has long been my passion and purpose to support others in my community. With over eight years of experience working in diverse community settings and with vulnerable populations, I’ve come to deeply value the power of connection, support, and having the right tools to navigate life’s challenges. I approach my work with warmth, empathy, and a commitment to helping each person find their path toward healing and resilience. I’m truly honored and excited to walk alongside those navigating life’s transitions and seeking personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, it is my goal to learn as much as I can about you and your goals for treatment. In this session, you will also learn about me, and my style of therapy so you can make an informed decision if I am a good match.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my therapeutic approach is the balance I bring between being a supportive guide and a directive, engaged clinician. As an EMDR-certified therapist, I draw from specialized training in EMDR, DBT, IFS, and trauma-informed care, allowing me to tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs while integrating evidence-based methods for meaningful, lasting change. I work collaboratively with clients—following their lead while also offering thoughtful direction, strategies, and tools to support progress both in and out of session. I create a space that is open, warm, and nonjudgmental, and I genuinely welcome feedback to ensure the work we’re doing remains aligned with each client’s goals and evolving needs.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with adults navigating challenges that feel overwhelming, confusing, or difficult to move through alone. This includes individuals impacted by past trauma, major life transitions, or ongoing struggles with depression and anxiety. I work well with clients who are open to self-exploration and interested in deepening their understanding of themselves—both emotionally and physically. Together, we focus on building insight, developing effective coping tools, and fostering a stronger mind–body connection to support meaningful, lasting change.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my practice, I use DBT to support clients in building skills across the core modules of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I incorporate strategies such as chain analysis to identify behavior patterns and use diary cards to track progress and reinforce skill use in daily life. Even when symptoms aren't tied to trauma, I apply DBT techniques to reduce emotional reactivity, increase distress tolerance, and promote more stable and effective coping.

EMDR

In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients process and reframe distressing memories by guiding them through bilateral stimulation while focusing on targeted thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations. I integrate strategies such as the installation of positive cognitions and resourcing techniques, like the "calm place" exercise, to strengthen emotional regulation and resilience. Additionally, I incorporate EMDR-informed interventions to reduce symptoms of anxiety and stress, even when not trauma-related, by targeting present-day triggers and reinforcing adaptive coping mechanisms.

Somatic

I integrate somatic techniques in therapy to help clients reconnect with their bodies as a pathway to healing. By bringing attention to physical sensations, breath, posture, and nervous system responses, I support clients in noticing how emotions and experiences are held in the body. Through practices such as grounding, body scans, and gentle movement or breathwork, clients learn to regulate their nervous systems, build tolerance for difficult emotions, and access a greater sense of safety and presence. This mind–body approach fosters deeper self-awareness, supports trauma resolution, and promotes more integrated, sustainable healing.
