Treatment methods
Attachment-based
I help clients understand how past relationships and experiences may influence the way they connect with others today. Together, we explore patterns around trust, closeness, conflict, communication, and emotional connection. Through this work, clients can develop greater self-awareness, healthier relationship patterns, stronger boundaries, and more secure connections.
Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-informed therapy recognizes how difficult experiences can affect the way we think, feel, behave, and connect with others. I provide a safe, supportive space where you remain in control of your healing. We move at a pace that feels comfortable for you while working together to understand patterns, build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and develop a greater sense of safety, confidence, and control.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT helps you better understand and manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, and respond to stressful situations in healthier ways. Therapy focuses on practical skills such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication. Rather than judging or trying to eliminate difficult emotions, DBT teaches you how to accept what you’re experiencing while also learning new ways to create meaningful change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT focuses on the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be contributing to stress or emotional difficulties, explore more balanced and helpful ways of thinking, and develop practical coping skills. The goal is to help you better understand yourself, respond to challenges more effectively, and create meaningful change in your daily life.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
Culturally sensitive therapy recognizes that your culture, identity, family, values, beliefs, and life experiences shape how you understand yourself and the world around you. In therapy, we explore these influences with openness, curiosity, and respect. I work to understand your unique background rather than making assumptions, while creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we consider how cultural experiences may influence your relationships, emotions, challenges, and goals for therapy.
