New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience working in schools, health centers, and community mental health settings. I practice with cultural humility and believe that individuals are the experts in their own lives. I view therapy as a collaborative process in which I support you in uncovering your strengths and developing the insight, skills, and confidence to achieve a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I have provided individual therapeutic services to adolescents and adults with mental health and life challenges ranging from mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, gender identity, interpersonal relationships, grief and loss, and life transitions.
Our first session together will be focused on completing an initial intake, where you share about your past, what has brought you into therapy at this time in your life, and what your hopes are for your future.
In my sessions, I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where clients feel genuinely connected, comfortable, and supported. I believe in fostering a safe space where individuals can express themselves openly without fear of judgment. Working with me often feels like a balance of lightness and depth. I use humor to make the process feel more relatable and to ease some of the weight that can come with deep, challenging conversations. However, I also don't shy away from exploring deeper emotional or psychological areas. My clients know that I can hold space for them, whether they need a moment to laugh or a moment to grieve.
I typically work with young adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and life changes.
I like to explore the impact of one's upbringing and how that may be impacting one's ability to form secure and healthy relationships in the present.
